Planning
When you plan to start the farming please consult the Veteran Doctor & get suggestion for the breed & buy it from trusted sources. When you buy don’t buy male & female from the same region, try to buy in from different region, which means buy males from one region & female from another region to get better quality breeds (better growth) in the future.

Procurement:
We you are farming for a breeding purpose always purchase from trusted breeders & buy high brands. If you are farming for meat purpose purchase from local a farmer or local market (Sante) & if you want for Wool production buy such breeds only.

Marketing:
When you start farming always keep an eye on marketing. Please check the local market where you can sell it easily or if you want to export please check the place, client, payment methods, etc., always transact directly to the buyer don’t transact through a middle man (Broker). Check the rates, demand & peak season for sales regularly.
“Farmer should always learn the marketing skills before they start farming or else someone will eat his profit & capital too.”

Shed Size:
For Small size farming you don’t require much space but if you want to start in medium-size or big size please build the shed which protects from adverse climate condition, water stagnation should not be there, do take care of Ventilation, cleanliness of shed, drinking water, food, etc., Long & wind will be as per your capacity but the height should be minimum “10” feet.

Feeding:
If you want the good result to feed them with proper food. Give the mixture of dry & fresh grasses to eat. Don’t tie the animal leave them free so that it can walk around, give some dry roti’s to eat. You can also give grains maize, jowar, groundnut cake, broken rice, sorghum, etc.,

Maintenance:
Firstly cleanliness, keep the shed as well as the animals clean & dry so that insects & worms will not enter. If you come across any sick animal immediately separate it from others, give proper medication.  Vaccinate them periodically, don’t allow other animals to mingle with yours. Take extra care from street dogs & other wild animals.

You should always monitor your animal personally, do spend more time with them they need your love, care, and attention.
Government has introduced “Pashu Bhagya” & “Kurigahi Suraksha scheme to help the farmers. To know more about the scheme & to apply please visit: http://pashubhagya.kar.nic.in/
